The Marching Band Saga

So I am trying to understand why the Marching Band has no dedication and no drive. The USU vs. BYU game on Friday proved a point to all Aggies — the Aggie Marching Band is under horrible direction. I admit, I have no marching band experience, but I do know what it is like to be dedicated to something I truly love. I played soccer for 11 years before an injury ended my career. I did everything soccer, my life was soccer. I went to every practice, and I played in every game. When I was out of practice and games, I was working out and practicing skills on my own. This made me the best soccer player I could be. I don’t understand all the excuses about why the marching band members refuse to memorize their music, and what is with the running on the field. It’s lame. I’m sorry, but it is sloppy, and the band needs to kick it up a few notches. New direction would be a wonderful start, and I understand how the band members a devoted and loyal to their current director, but there comes a point when you need to go out with the old and in the with the new. It’s time for some Aggie dedication and hardwork.
