The power of pingpng
Pingpong isn’t just a game for people to play in the basement of various grandmothers.
Thursday evening the International Student Council hosted a pingpong tournament as a fundraiser for victims of Hurricane Katrina.
Players donated $5 for a chance to play against others from around the world.
The event was held in Room 213 of the HPER building and drew about fifty players.
Games ran in a round-robin fashion with a judge at each table keeping score and directing winning players to their next matches.
The winning players recieved trophies.
Other activities, including raffles, were held to raise more money for the American Red Cross.
