Is there anything to do in Logan for under $5? What is there to do in the local area that will accomodate the budget of the average Aggie?

There is actually a lot to do for under $5 here in Logan, students just have to know where to look.

At Cinefour, a local movie theater, there is a Midnight Movie special every Thursday and Friday night.

“It only costs $2 and they show some pretty good movies,” Kris Anderson, a junior from Boise, Idaho said.

The Skyline dance club has country line dancing on Thursday nights for $3.

“I have a lot of friends that go,” freshman Marcy Kamerath from Reno, Nevada, said.

For just 99 cents students can buy an iceblock from a local grocer and go “iceblocking.”

“It is so much fun. You get a huge block of ice and you just slide down the biggest hill you can find,” Amy Stevens, a freshman from Price, Utah, said.

Randall Fenn, a sophomore aerospace major, recommends going to Beto’s Mexican resturant and buying six sweet scones for $3.

“I just go to hang out with friends and have a cheap dessert,” he said.

Some students at Utah State University take advantage of those free activities available on campus.

“I just eat at the Junction,” Spencer Earl from San Juan, Puerto Rico said.

On Wednesdays and Saturdays, USU students can sing Karaoke free of charge at The Depot, which is open every day of the week.

“We are open Monday to Sunday from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.,” Cicile Edwards from Roosevelt, Utah and an employee at The Depot, said.
