Torrey Green will cheer for Falcons from Cache County Jail
Former Utah State University linebacker Torrey Green will spend Super Bowl Sunday watching the Atlanta Falcons play from the Cache County Jail.
Green signed a contract to play for the Falcons in April 2016, but he was waived from the team in August after they learned of the four rape allegations — which are now seven charges — against him.
“We don’t want anybody connected to the organization who has those kind of accusations around them,” owner Arthur Blank told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Despite the circumstances, Green said he is proud of his former team.
“I’m so proud of everyone on the Atlanta Falcons. I’ll be watching and rooting for them to win come Sunday!” Green said in a statement from his publicist, Zack Teperman.
Teperman and Green’s attorney Skye Lazaro says he will be found innocent when his series of court hearings is over.
“We maintain that once all the facts and new evidence comes out in court, our client will be found innocent of the allegations against him,” Teperman said in a combined statement between himself and Lazaro.
Green will appear in 1st District Court for a three-day preliminary hearing from March 29 to 31, and will be held in the Cache County Jail until then.

Ummmmm….his own father admits the allegations are true. Someone should check the family background. It would make one sick.
Really? Can you direct me to the article where he admits that? Thanks
