Tossing and Turning
Millions of Americans suffer from some sort of sleep disorder and don’t even realize it. The same goes for college students.
According to the National Sleep Foundation, many people and students go on day to day sleep deprived because of this. Getting professional care for a sleep disorder can be the difference between night and day in living a good, healthy life.
Charlie Bingham is the lead polysomnographic technician at Logan Regional Hospital. In other words, she is the lead technician in the sleep lab at the hospital, and it is her job to help diagnose sleep disorders and prescribe techniques for getting a good night’s rest.
“If you aren’t getting enough sleep, you are depriving your body and mind the rest that it needs to stay healthy,” Bingham said.
