Two car accident hospitalizes woman

A woman was hospitalized after her car was stuck on Friday while turning from the ShopKo parking lot onto 1400 North.

One driver began to pull out from the parking lot onto 1400 North as another driver put on her turn signal to change from the left to the right lane.

Speeds did not exceed 35 miles per hour, with the second car just at a crawl, but both cars were damaged enough that a tow truck was called to remove the wreckage from the flow of traffic.

A woman involved the accident, who preferred to remain anonymous, observed, “She (the other driver) hit her head inside her car and they took her to the hospital.”

The collision tore the front off one vehicle, causing anti-freeze to pour onto the road. Absorbent was spread on the spill, and both cars were towed from the accident.

“It just shows that anything can happen,” said the second driver, who preferred to remain unnamed.
