Up close and personal

Put on your walking shoes and a coat. It’s time for the first ever Campus Close-up Contest.

Here’s the deal — we took pictures of various spots on campus, each of which can be seen from a sidewalk. All you have to do is identify the location where each photo was taken and bring us a list.

First prize is a four-month membership to The Sports Academy, and second prize is an Aggie T-shirt. The next 10 winners will each receive a free slice of bread from Hazel’s bakery.

So slow down and enjoy the smaller things in life.

Rules:

1. Photos were taken between Old Main Hill and 1200 East, 700 North and U.S. Highway 89. A map can be found at www.usu.edu/tour/map_quad_1v1.html.

2. Identify the exact location of each clue. Be as specific as possible, including names of buildings or prominent landmarks.

3. Include your name, phone number and e-mail address.

4. Bring the entry to The Statesman office in TSC Room 314 by Wednesday Jan. 29 at 4 p.m.

5. Winners will be announced in the Friday, Jan. 31 issue of The Utah Statesman.

6. If there is a tie, winners will be chosen in a random drawing.
