USU students cheer for the football team at Maverik Stadium on Aug 31.

USU athletics adds 1,000 tickets back to the Mav

In a statement sent to The Utah Statesman and to the Utah State University student body, the USU athletics department said they are adding 1,000 additional student tickets, increasing the total number of student tickets for tomorrow’s Battle of the Brothers game to 5,901.

“We recognize the importance of student support for all of our USU athletic events. We are dedicated to ensuring that as many Aggies as possible can experience the thrill of game day,” athletics wrote in their release. “For the football game against Utah, we were able to add an additional 1,000 tickets to accommodate the student demand. With this addition, the total student ticket number is now at 5,901 — all of which have been claimed.”

They also shared that sections 117-121 in Maverik Stadium will be reserved for students going forward, and no changes will be made to the Spectrum.

“Our commitment to our student gameday experience remains unwavering,” athletics wrote. “Moving forward, all seating in sections 117 through 121 at Maverik Stadium will be for student general admission. There will also be no changes to student ticketing at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum. We encourage all students to secure their tickets early to guarantee a seat at every event. Your presence makes a significant difference in creating an advantage at all of our home events.”

They concluded their statement with a call to show off Aggie pride, writing, “Let’s show the world what Aggie spirit is truly about. Go Aggies!”
