USU football announces revised Fall schedule
The Mountain West conference and Utah State football announced the revised schedule for the 2020 season Thursday afternoon. The Aggies will kick off the season on Oct. 24 on the road against 2019 conference champions Boise State. The season — subject to approval from state, county and local officials — will run for eight weeks straight and finish with the two teams with the best winning percentages playing in the conference championship on Dec. 19.

A limited number of fans will be allowed inside Maverik Stadium for the Aggies’ four home games — San Diego State (10/31), Fresno State (11/14), New Mexico (11/28) and Air Force (12/5) — based on safety guidelines set by local and state health officials and Utah State University. The revised schedule features the same eight opponents from the MW as the original schedule, just in a different order. There may also be room for a switch in days from all games being on Saturday, to some being held earlier in the week. Mountain West national television partners CBS Sports and FOX Sports have entered a selection procedure that will include the shifting of several games to Thursdays and Fridays, with news of which games that have been selected to be released in the near future, according to a press release from the Mountain West. However, all games the opening week of the season will be played on Saturday, Oct. 24.
