USU v Boise Football Game (Joseph Myers)

USU football lands spots on CBS and ESPN

LOGAN — Utah State football will have 10 games broadcast on national TV this season. USU Athletics announced the broadcast schedule for all but two of the Aggies’ games this season on Thursday.

The main CBS network will broadcast a Utah State football game for the second year in a row. Utah State’s away game against Boise State will be televised on local CBS affiliate KUTV at 10 a.m. on Black Friday, Nov. 25. The broadcast will also be the second-straight morning matchup between Utah State and Boise State televised on CBS. In last season’s rendition, the Broncos won 27-3.

The battle for the Old Wagon Wheel against BYU will be broadcast on ESPN. It will be the first time the rivalry will be broadcast on the main network since 2014. The matchup will also be the last meeting between the two rivals in the foreseeable future due to the Cougars calling off the rest of the current series. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m. on Sept. 29 in Provo, Utah.

The Aggies will take on last year’s national runner-up Alabama on the SEC Network. It will be Utah State’s second visit to Bryant-Denny Stadium all-time. That game will start at 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 3.

Utah State’s season and home opener against Connecticut will be televised on FS1. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. on August 27.

Three additional Aggie games will be broadcast on Fox Sports Networks. Home games against Air Force and San Jose State and an away game at Wyoming will be featured on FS1 or FS2. The Mountain West Championship game will be broadcast on Fox.

CBS Sports Network will pick up home games against UNLV and New Mexico and the away game at Colorado State.

The TV schedule for Weber State and the away game at Hawaii have yet to be announced.
