USU Hockey/Olympics
Hi, my name is Weston Parsons. I am an Elementary Education major at USU. I am currently student teaching at Ellis Elementary in Logan. I was assigned to teach the 1st grade class about the Olympics (i.e. history, sports, etc.) To introduce the sports I had the USU Hockey team come and speak to over 40 students about the sport, questions the students had, and how the students can get involve in the sport. The students loved it, and I think the team had a good time too. I think it was a great story that deserves some coverage for these local athletes. I notified the office the day that they were coming due to some last minute scheduling problems. However, I understood the late notice was a conflict and took pictures of the event.
