USU police officer hit by car

A Utah State University police officer was hit by a car Thursday along US-89 while directing traffic, USU police confirmed. He was hospitalized briefly and released later that day.

The USU official twitter account tweeted a statement about the incident that said: “All of us at USU recognize the extraordinary dedication of our university police officers and their diligence in ensuring we have a safe campus. Our thoughts are with the officer who was struck by a vehicle while on duty today. We are thankful the officer is in fair condition and is now recovering at home.”
