The topical issue of healthcare reform is in the spotlight at the next HASS Hour, presented by the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences at Utah State University. The monthly activity highlights faculty from the college discussing timely topics in a causal atmosphere. Faculty members discuss a variety of topics from their areas of expertise, presented in what is called the “TimePiece.”

In her presentation, Herzberg will outline the major features of the 2010 health reform legislation and will evaluate the political and policy prospects of the law. In particular, the discussion will consider who benefits and who loses under the new legislation, how the legislation affects healthcare costs and quality the likely impact of the law on the 2010 midterm elections.
