V-ball squad takes on Weber St.
Today the Utah State men’s volleyball club will travel to Weber State University for one of its few non-tournament matches of the year.
Both the USU A and B teams make the trip to Ogden for the match. Head coach Greg Jorgenson said this is one of only about five single matches the team will play all year.
USU’s next tournament will be a conference tournament including teams from the North and South Divisions of the Mountain West Volleyball Conference next week in Tucson, Ariz.
Conference tournaments are mandatory for each team, Jorgenson said. USU tied for fifth in a conference tournament at the University of Utah last week.
The Aggies were ranked 11th in Division III of the National Intramural-Recreation Sports Association pre-season poll. As of Feb. 15, they had moved up to 9th. New rankings should be out in the beginning of March.
USU has a game scheduled for March 23 against Ricks College, and another tentatively scheduled for March 24, depending on availability of the Spectrum.
