We need you now more than ever, fans
Dear Editor,
The USU hockey team would like to take this opportunity to thank its fans. Your dedication and enthusiasm over the past few seasons has not gone unappreciated.
Despite having to drive to Ogden to see us play, you have always shown up loud and rowdy, helped us dominate our opposition, and have even helped us beat a few teams that even we thought would surely crush us. There have been countless nights that even us players have dreaded driving through Sardine Canyon (which never seems to get plowed on game nights).
Fortunately, we will have our own rink next season and look forward to welcoming Weber into what is undoubtedly going to be one loud and intimidating building.
However, we have seven games left to play before the playoffs at the end of February and we need you now more than ever. Our next game is Jan. 27 at 8:30 p.m. against Colorado State University. CSU has managed to beat us three times this season and we want to make sure it doesn’t happen a fourth time.
Please get your friends together, brave the canyon and show up ready to let CSU know they should have stayed home.
Again, thank you for your dedication and support throughout this season and seasons past. We want you to know that you are our backbone, and playing wouldn’t be worth the pleasure or the pain if you weren’t there to share it with us.
Sincerely,
USU Hockey Team
