UTAH STATE Aggies vs. CAL STATE FULLERTON TitansUSU 58 CSF 46.

LOGAN, Utah — Senior forward Shawn Daniels scored 16 points and point guard Bernard Rock scored 10 to lead Utah State University to a 58-46 win over Cal-State Fullerton Saturday night. The win gives the Aggies 21 wins on the season (21-3, 9-1), one of only six teams in the nation who have 20 wins or more. USU also has a 29-1 mark against Big West opponents over the last two years. Fullerton falls to 3-18, 2-9 in conference contests. Daniels also led USU in scoring Thursday night in a victory against UC-Irvine and has only missed two shots in two games, shooting a combined 15-of-17. Fullerton was led in scoring by Ryan Dillon, with 17, who shot 6-of-11 on the night, including a three-pointer as the final buzzer sounded. Titan Guard David Castleton got nine points. The Titans, behind three-point shooting by Dillon, who shot 5-for-10 from behind the three-point line on the night, worked the score to 42-37 at 14:20 in the second half. USU then got free throws by Daniels and a Dimitri Jorssen hook shot to keep the visitors at bay. The Aggies then began mixing up their defense and showing a full-court press to the Titans, whose shooting suffered as a result, often forcing up shots as the 35-second clock ran down. The Titans shot 31 percent from the field in the game, only 25 percent the second half. The Aggies shot 47 percent and were credited with six steals against USF. The Titans led much of the first half, until they hit a dry spell at the 7:47 mark and went more than seven minutes without a field goal. A buzzer-beating shot by Rock gave USU a 36-26 halftime edge. USU plays their next three games on the road, before finishing out the season at home with two games the first week of March.
