A weekend of nostalgia comes to Disney Channel

It’s finally happening, Disney Channel is running a marathon of the movies that defined the millennial youth – Disney Channel Original Movies. The marathon runs Friday through Memorial Day -what a perfect day to remember the past. I think we all just found our plans for the weekend. Here’s a glimpse of the lineup I’m excited for.

“Twitches Too” – 2:55 a.m. Saturday, May 28:

Who doesn’t love the Mowry sisters? In this witchy sequel, the teen witches continue their adventures bouncing between our normal world and the world they come from where they have magical powers to combat the forces of darkness.

“Zenon Z3” – 1:05 a.m. Sunday, May 29:

I don’t know if it was the bad music, the awful costumes or just the normal Disney Channel sub-par dialogue, but the Zenon movies are full of good memories for me. The third in the series, Zenon (Kristen Storms) races to the moon where we see a futuristic moon-colonization. Wait, aren’t we still talking about doing that?

“The Even Stevens Movie” – 4:30 p.m. Saturday, May 28:

Have you ever thought your family vacation was awful? At least yours wasn’t on  the set of a reality tv show. In this fun movie, Shia LaBoeuf and his crazy family find themselves at each other’s throats after they are tricked into thinking they’re on a tropical island for a TV show off the coast of California. What a bonding moment.

“Double Teamed” – 1:10 p.m. Sunday, May 29:

Movies about sports and twins might be my thing. Especially when they’re based on a true story. This DCOM shows the Burge sisters in their dramatized battle through high school with an overbearing dad. Spoiler alert if you didn’t have a childhood – it all works out for them, though I think they probably got more attention in high school than they did in the Women’s National Basketball Association.

Based on a True Story, "Double Teamed" follows twin sisters through their high school basketball career

Those are just a few I’ll be tuning into along with “Cadet Kelly”, “Smart House”, “The Cheetah Girls”, “The Proud Family Movie”, and maybe “High School Musical” if I’m that bored. You can find the full schedule at ew.com.

Which movies will you be watching this weekend? Let us know below.
