Weston shines with pair of goals

G. Christopher Terry

Utah Statesman: Which of your goals against Hawai’i was bigger, the one that tied the game or the one that won it?

Charity Weston: I think we scored first, so I guess it would be the goal that won it. But if not, then I think the one that tied it because then we were not down a goal going into halftime.

US: You’re eighth on USU’s career goals list and only a junior. How do you feel

about potentially breaking that record?

CW: Ha! I’m not sure. It would be cool but I just care about whether or not we are winning.

US: Who were your favorite soccer players growing up?

CW: The usuals: Pele, Mia Hamm and Michelle Akers.

US: Name your pick to win the next World Cup in Germany.

CW: Brazil.

US: Who is your role model in life and why?

CW: I don’t just have one role model because I have a lot of people that I admire and who have influenced my life. My parents are probably the reason that I’m here and attending school because they have always pushed me to be the best and to not give up.

US: Why did you decide to lend your soccer abilities to USU?

CW: It’s kind of funny

how I ended up here at USU, but I have no regrets. It’s a cool school and I love the team.

US: What is your major, and do you see yourself working in that field in five years or playing professional soccer?

CW: My major is physical education with an emphasis in teaching. I hope to be teaching Spanish, but who knows. I kind of want to teach part time and maybe coach and I would also like to do personal training part time. I probably won’t be playing professional soccer.

US: What is your favorite thing about living in Cache Valley?

CW: The mountains.

US: What is your least favorite?

CW: How cold it gets and how much snow we get.

US: Who is your favorite professor at USU?

CW: I would have to say Dr. Fronske because she is so cool and she makes me laugh.

US: Do you have any ideas on how to win the war on terror?

CW: No, I just put my trust

in God and hope others do the same.

US: Name the worst movie you’ve ever seen.

CW: “Win a date with Tad Hamilton” It was so lame.

US: If you could bring one person back to life from all of history, who would it be and what would you say to them?

CW: That’s a question I’ll have to think about because I’ve never really thought about it.

US: Do you own an Ipod?

CW: No, hopefully soon.

US: CNN, Fox News or BBC News?

CW: CNN.

US: What’s your favorite percentage of milk to drink?

CW: I don’t like milk, but if I do have it, I have skim milk.

US: Who will win the world series?

CW: The Chicago White Sox.

US: What is the best movie Disney has ever come out with?

CW: It might not be the best, but right now I really love “Robots.”
