Women’s soccer closes out season with a win
The Utah State women’s soccer team played their final regular season game on Sunday. The Aggies hosted and beat Louisiana Tech 4-0.
USU opened up the scoring in the first half with a goal from sophomore Jade Tarver, the assist coming from junior Jennifer Flynn.
Tarver made it 2-0 with her second goal of the match right before the halftime whistle. Sophomore Ambryn McCallson had the assist.
In the 52nd minute freshman Maris Hamblin put the Aggies up 3-0.
Sophomore Libby Lundquist pushed the lead to 4-0 in the 76th minute.
The Aggies improve their overall record to 11-2-6 and finish 6-0-2 in WAC play.
USU’S next game will be Friday in the WAC tournament that will be held in Logan.
Seeding and kick off times are yet to be determined.
