BLOTTER: Police news from the Campus and Community

Sept. 20, 2002 USU Police took custody of a stray cat found at Snow Hall. The cat escaped after numerous attempts to secure it in a carrier. No further action was taken.

Sept. 21, 2002 USU Police stopped a vehicle for pulling a skateboarder behind it in the Parking Terrace. The individuals involved were warned for their actions and released.

Sept, 22, 2002 USU Police received a report of suspicious phone calls from a resident in Bullen Hall. The complainant later called back and stated the calls were placed by a friend playing a prank. The complainant was satisfied the caller had no malicious intent. No further action was taken. Sept. 24, 2002 Logan Police received report for theft of a tree.

Sept. 25, 2002 USU Police received a complaint from an individual in Aggie Village, who stated someone is taking his newspaper off his doorstep. Police are investigating the incident.

USU Police responded to Mountain View Tower on a weapons offense. An individual was shot with a BB gun. Police are investigating the incident.

Sept. 26, 2002 USU Police investigated a report of a student making threats to a parking enforcement officer. The individual was warned of his actions and released.

An individual reported to USU Police she had received an offensive note on her vehicle regarding how it was parked.

USU Police responded to a report of a bottle of anti-freeze in the Student Health Services parking lot. The bottle was found to contain only water and was disposed of.

Sept. 28, 2002 An individual called North Park Police to report an elderly female was having trouble parking. The complainant said she hit a car and can’t park straight.

North Park Police received a report of four stop signs Saran wrapped together. An individual called Logan Police to complain peanut butter had been spread all over his car.

Logan Police received a report of lewdness in front of Albertson’s. A boy had dropped his pants, exposing himself in front of the complainant.

The Cache County Sheriff’s Office reported a Nibley resident said cattle were turning up dead – possibly shot.
