Metal Gods
Editor,
Nearly 1,000 people filled the Nelson Field House last Friday night to rock out
with Metal Gods, an 80’s cover band who are based out of LA. Metal Gods
dressed-up in KISS-like wigs, zebra print nylons, diamond studded thongs,
tight jeans, neon bandannas, and all the other classic 80’s attire.
But they weren’t the only ones who dressed for the occasion. Students were
hair-banging with the unforgettable 80’s mohawks, waved hair, mullets, side
ponytails, crimped hair, permed hair, basically just big hair. Utah State hasn’t seen that much head-banging since the 1980’s were actually happening. Good
times were had by all as Metal Gods belted out songs from ACDC, Def Leopard,
Bon Jovi, Van Halen, and Gun’s and Roses. The only complaint about the show
from the audience was the stiff neck the next morning, (from the head-banging). STAB and USU Greeks would like to thank every individual who helped, and for the sake of the letter I will group them into: night managers, tech crews, field house workers, Greek and STAB volunteers, Laurel Evans, people who passed out fliers, everyone I forgot and everyone who attended, because it rocked.
