Utah Statesman: Why did you come to USU?

Brody Maughan: Because it’s close to where I live and it’s convenient.

US: What is your favorite part about USU?

Maughan: I don’t know, it’s all pretty good.

US: What is your least favorite part?

Maughan: Parking. It sucks.

US: If you could describe yourself, what words would you use?

Maughan: Normal, fun and easy going.

US: What do you like to do for fun?

Maughan: I like to play sports, hunt, fish and go snowmobiling.

US: Did you play sports in high school?

Maughan: I played basketball.

US: Did you have a winning season?

Maughan: Well, we did all right, I played for Skyview. We always won when Nate Harris was there. In high school, he was the best and he’s pretty freakin’ good now.

US: What is your favorite thing to do in Logan?

Maughan: Probably bowling at Logan Lanes.

US: Are you a good bowler?

Maughan: No, I try. I’m getting better.

US: What was your highest score?

Maughan: Like 160. It was lucky.

US: What do you do to get ready for a date?

Maughan: Like once I’ve got one? I shower, get dressed. You know, it doesn’t take much.

US: Where do you go to scope out the girls here?

Maughan: Just around here I meet girls, class, whatever, kickin’ around.

US: What is your deepest darkest fear?

Maughan: Well with this season, falling off a cliff on my snowmobile.

US: What is the last CD you bought?

Maughan: JayZ and Linkin Park mix.

US: What is your biggest pet peeve?

Maughan: Bad drivers bug me bad.

US: What is your favorite food?

Maughan: Probably a good cheeseburger at A&W, the Big Blue Special.

US: What is the most unique thing about you?

Maughan: I still live at home and I actually like it. It’s free.

US: Do you look at your reflection when you walk past a window or a mirror?

Maughan: I’m not self-conscious about it, but if I glance, whatever, that’s cool.

US: How about the Eccles Conference Building?

Maughan: Yeah, I have. I’ll admit it.

US: If you had an unlimited supply of monkeys, what would you do with them?

Maughan: I would sell them and make money. As fast as they would come, I would sell them.

US: So what’s with the paper boat you have?

Maughan: Oh, a chick made it for me in stats, so I kept it.

US: What are your plans for Spring Break?

Maughan: We might go to Cedar City or to Salmon, Idaho, to go steelhead fishing.
