Utah Statesman: Why did you come to USU?
Brody Maughan: Because it’s close to where I live and it’s convenient.
US: What is your favorite part about USU?
Maughan: I don’t know, it’s all pretty good.
US: What is your least favorite part?
Maughan: Parking. It sucks.
US: If you could describe yourself, what words would you use?
Maughan: Normal, fun and easy going.
US: What do you like to do for fun?
Maughan: I like to play sports, hunt, fish and go snowmobiling.
US: Did you play sports in high school?
Maughan: I played basketball.
US: Did you have a winning season?
Maughan: Well, we did all right, I played for Skyview. We always won when Nate Harris was there. In high school, he was the best and he’s pretty freakin’ good now.
US: What is your favorite thing to do in Logan?
Maughan: Probably bowling at Logan Lanes.
US: Are you a good bowler?
Maughan: No, I try. I’m getting better.
US: What was your highest score?
Maughan: Like 160. It was lucky.
US: What do you do to get ready for a date?
Maughan: Like once I’ve got one? I shower, get dressed. You know, it doesn’t take much.
US: Where do you go to scope out the girls here?
Maughan: Just around here I meet girls, class, whatever, kickin’ around.
US: What is your deepest darkest fear?
Maughan: Well with this season, falling off a cliff on my snowmobile.
US: What is the last CD you bought?
Maughan: JayZ and Linkin Park mix.
US: What is your biggest pet peeve?
Maughan: Bad drivers bug me bad.
US: What is your favorite food?
Maughan: Probably a good cheeseburger at A&W, the Big Blue Special.
US: What is the most unique thing about you?
Maughan: I still live at home and I actually like it. It’s free.
US: Do you look at your reflection when you walk past a window or a mirror?
Maughan: I’m not self-conscious about it, but if I glance, whatever, that’s cool.
US: How about the Eccles Conference Building?
Maughan: Yeah, I have. I’ll admit it.
US: If you had an unlimited supply of monkeys, what would you do with them?
Maughan: I would sell them and make money. As fast as they would come, I would sell them.
US: So what’s with the paper boat you have?
Maughan: Oh, a chick made it for me in stats, so I kept it.
US: What are your plans for Spring Break?
Maughan: We might go to Cedar City or to Salmon, Idaho, to go steelhead fishing.
