College ranked in top tier by magazine

The Utah State University College of Education and Human Services was ranked 38th in the top tier by U.S. News & World Report.

“The College of Education and Human Services continues to make impressive progress under the leadership of its dean, Gerry Giordano. The new rankings mark a major jump in its national reputation and are a testament to the research productivity of its gifted faculty,” said President Kermit L. Hall.

While Utah State has been ranked in the top tier for six consecutive years, this year’s ranking exceeded last year’s placement of 49th and may be credited to expanding doctoral programs and increased external research funding.

The university also received a fourth rank with regard to the amount of external research funding generated.

“The college, as the independent analysis of U.S. News reminds us, is one of Utah’s most valuable educational resources and one of Utah State University’s most distinguished academic units,” Hall said.
