Utah Statesman: Why did you come to USU?

Angel Larsen: I think it’s mostly because of my dad. My dad and mom met at Utah State. Also, my family moved to Colorado during high school and I knew I would have a better chance to get a scholarship here. I found out when I got here that I’m a third-generation Aggie.

US: What’s your favorite part about Utah State?

Larsen: My absolute favorite part was the rugby. When I was deciding where to go to school, I knew Utah State and BYU had a rugby team. I played rugby for a year here and then I got married and was too busy to play anymore after that.

US: What’s your least favorite part about Utah State?

Larsen: Personally, it’s the commute. I live in Brigham City and have to drive to Logan every day. I really like the campus. I like the people a lot.

US: What are five words that describe you?

Larsen: I have two words: organized chaos. I organize all my CDs and books alphabetically, but I have a random chaos I mean, I play rugby. It explains my personality.

US: Where are you from?

Larsen: I’m orginally from Idaho Falls, but I graduated from high school in Colorado. I moved 21 times in my life because of my dad’s job. He’s a financial accountant.

US: Who is your hero?

Larsen: My mother. Number one, because she puts up with my father and number two, because she only had one daughter and three boys and they’re exactly like my dad.

US: What’s the best movie you’ve seen and why?

Larsen: “Last of the Mohicans” because I love the music. If you took away the music, the movie wouldn’t exist.

US: What’s something interesting about you?

Larsen: I grew up mostly in cities, but I married a dairy farmer and learned how to articificially inseminate cows. That was one of the weirdest things I ever did.

US: What would you do with an unlimited supply of monkeys?

Larsen: I would probably make little outfits for them and train them to act like people and then take them on the road to show people.
