LETTER: Thanks for B-ball support
Editor,
We would like to thank each and every student who has been attending our basketball games this year and giving us such a great home-court advantage! We’ve stated publicly many times and we mean it when we say we would not trade one of our students for 10 at another institution.
The atmosphere you help create in the Smith Spectrum rivals any in the country and has everyone in the West raving about it! I’ve spoken with several game officials who work games all over the country, including the Final Four and they remind us we have the loudest arena they’ve ever worked. Your enthusiasm, creativity and most of all, your good sportsmanship make us all very proud.
We would also like to point out an arena entrance issue to help you get into the Spectrum a bit easier. The South doors (near the HPER Fields) are the only doors electronically equipped to handle your student ID’s. You may however enter any door if you have a hard ticket and show your ID. You may use your ID to pick up a hard ticket at the Spectrum Ticket Office or the Card Office in the Taggart Student Center during the week.
Keep the roof rattling for our next four home games and remember this Saturday is a 4 p.m. start.
Feb. 5: Cal Poly, 7 p.m.
Feb. 7: UC Santa Barbara, FOX Sports West-TV 4 p.m.
Feb. 19: UC Riverside, KJZZ-TV 8 p.m.
Feb. 21: CS Fullerton, 7 p.m.
Thanks again and Go Aggies!
